HP8610
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have many laptops and one desktop connected wirelessless to a HP8610 printer.
they all have Win 10 and are up to date.

A while back They all stopped connecting to the printer saying it was offline.

I would uninstall the printer then try to find a prionter to install to no avail.

It wouldn't find it when trying to add a printer.

Finally I was able to install the printer on all machines by downloading the software and driver bundle.

Then trying to connect.

Now one laptop doesn't print to the printer anymore saying it is offline.

I did the same, remove printer, install driver bundle.

Now it says the driver is unavailable when the printer is installed.

I've tried what other post have said but it doesn't work.

HP should have this fixed by now as its an ongoing problem with Win10.

Hello Lars!

How extremely frustrating. Have you tried the Print & Scan Dr?

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/hppsdr/HPPSdr.exe

If the PSDr doesn't resolve the issue, there are manual steps to try:

the print and scan doctor app didn't work at first.

It saw the installed printer but coudn't fix it.

I had to uninstall the printer.

Then I tried to use the print and scan doctor to find a printer and install the drivers from that app and it worked.

Very convoluted. the average person wouldn't be able to do it.

I'm sure in a few weeks or months something will happen and i'll have to start all over again.

Anyways, crisis averted for now.
