I have a new HP Laserjet M507dn running on Windows 11. I installed the latest software/drivers from HP's website. Each time I restart my computer, I have to re-enable the Duplex Unit (mark it "Installed" under Device Settings). How can I fix this problem of not recognizing the Duplex Unit?

If Windows 11 I would use the V4 driver as it provides a better integration with Microsoft.

Is this a locally installed printer or is this a networked shared printer? If network shared you need to update the printer on the print server. If this is local you could try turning off "Let Windows manage my default printer"
I would also suggest that you might want to download the HP Smart UPD driver and use that instead of the dedicated driver.

Thank you for your response.
It's a local printer, and the "Let Windows manage my default printer" option is off.
How do I know whether to download the V3 HP Smart Universal Printing Driver (SUPD) or V4 HP Smart Universal Printing Driver (SUPD)? I have a 64-bit system, Windows 11 Home, Version 22H2.
