Hi @rt887766,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Good morning! If your HP LaserJet P1505n is stuck in the print queue and only prints the first job after restarting your PC, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue. Here’s a structured approach to addressing this problem:

1. Check Printer and Network Connection

  • Printer Status: Ensure the printer is properly connected to the network and powered on.
  • Network Issues: Verify that there are no network connectivity issues. Check if other devices on the network can communicate with the printer.

2. Clear the Print Queue

  • Cancel Print Jobs: Open the print queue on your PC and cancel any stuck print jobs.
    1. Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
    2. Right-click the HP LaserJet P1505n and select See what's printing.
    3. Cancel all documents in the queue.

3. Restart the Print Spooler Service

  • Restart Service: The print spooler service manages print jobs. Restarting it can sometimes resolve issues.
    1. Press Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
    2. Find Print Spooler in the list, right-click it, and select Restart.
    3. After restarting, check if the printer resumes normal operation.

4. Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers

  • Update Drivers: Go to the HP support website and download the latest drivers for the HP LaserJet P1505n. Install them to ensure compatibility with your system.
  • Reinstall Drivers: Uninstall the current printer drivers and then reinstall them.
    1. Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
    2. Right-click the HP LaserJet P1505n and select Remove device.
    3. Download and install the latest drivers from HP’s website.

5. Check Printer Settings

  • Default Printer: Ensure the HP LaserJet P1505n is set as the default printer.
  • Printer Properties: Check the printer properties and ensure there are no settings that might cause printing issues, such as incorrect paper size or type settings.

6. Reset the Printer

  • Power Cycle: Turn off the printer, unplug it for about 30 seconds, then plug it back in and power it on.
  • Factory Reset: If available, perform a factory reset on the printer. Refer to the printer’s manual for instructions on how to reset it.

7. Check for Firmware Updates

  • Firmware Update: Check if there is a firmware update available for the HP LaserJet P1505n. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve issues related to printing.

I would like to inform you that the unit will only work with windows 10 and above.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
