hp photosmart c4780
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My printer still works and i can print letters but my hp solution center now no longer works, all i get is a screen with a large facebook looking f and an  i

the result is that i can no longer scan documents as this was the page that allowed me to access the scan option..

As a side issue i also have an apple mac version 11.1 and that used to be connected to the printer but suddenly stopped working with the printer but when i go to the hp website (using the mac) to download the software  for the printer the hp site says it cannot find it !!   but when i go to the hp website using the windows 10 laptop it finds it straight away ????

i simply want what i had and that is my printer fully working with both my Mac and my windows 10 dell laptop

Hi,

Both issues are due to drivers or compatibility issues.

For Windows, this is due to Flash end of life, the HP Solution Center uses Flash and therefore no longer supported:

You may also try the HP Scan Extended option described within the HP Scan Extended section within below great discussion by @greenturtle:

For the macOS Big Sur computer, is the printer connected via USB or through the network?

What is your exact macOS version? click the Apple icon and then About This Mac and let me know the exact version number accordingly.
