HI @Dap5607,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

When your HP Envy 5020 printer gets stuck during startup, it can be frustrating. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue:

Restart the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for a few minutes. Then, plug it back in and turn it on again. Sometimes, a simple restart can fix temporary glitches.

Check for Paper Jams: Open the printer's access door and check for any paper jams or obstructions. Clear any paper jams carefully, following the printer's manual instructions.

Reset the Printer: Perform a factory reset on your HP Envy 5020 printer. This will reset the printer to its default settings and may resolve any software issues causing the startup problem. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.

Update Printer Firmware: Ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date. You can usually check for firmware updates through the printer's settings menu or by visiting the HP website.

Check Network Connection: Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your Wi-Fi network. If the printer is having trouble connecting to the network, it may get stuck during startup. Try restarting your router and reconnecting the printer to the Wi-Fi network.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
