I'm having a lousy, frustrating experience all over a new HP Deskjet's missing power cord. An HP laptop bundle bought via QVC.

I've spoken with 4 agents from different departments. I can't stand the thought of a 5th. Mostly, I was scolded for not buying directly from HP and how a warranty doesn't matter.

I need to email/write to somebody who might care.

I can't find who or where this human might be.

All over a power cord.

I do not want to stir the pot, but have you tried contacting QVC. A missing power cord could be as much their error as HP's and as a retailer likely have procedures in house to deal with this quickly. I am not letting HP off the hook for not being able to help, just suggesting what might be a quicker solution.

Thanks for replying.

I talked with QVC first. They suggested I pack the whole bundle (HP laptop and HP printer) up, return, and they'll replace my order if they have replacements available. That's going to be 2 weeks waiting for probably nothing.

I'd be buying a power cord myself, but the 4th HP rep I spoke to said something about negating a warranty. That gave me pause.

The creepy part was when I was admonished for buying HP on QVC. I was told I should have bought HP directly from HP.

All I wanted was a silly power cord that was supposed to be in the box.

Now I just want a working email and a good address for HP corporate. I can't find a working email. All customer service rabbit holes lead back to the same agents I spoke to today.

It's been a lousy customer service day. Somebody somewhere could care.

That's why I appreciate your considerate reply.

The part cannot be ordered from the HP Store

The blue list does verify the printers in which this part number can be used.

It's a power cord - unless there is something else wrong with the printer, replacing the cord with the specified part is likely not grounds for invaliding the warranty.  That said, we do not speak for HP Support.

That said. Thank you for your response!

It's helpful.
