To reinstall the HP Smart app for your HP Smart Tank 5101 All-in-One Printer, follow these steps:
Steps to Reinstall the HP Smart App
Uninstall the Remaining Parts of the App (If Necessary)
- Make sure any remnants of the HP Smart app are removed from your device:
- On Windows:
- Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & Features.
- Search for "HP Smart" and click Uninstall if it is still listed.
- On macOS:
- Open Finder, go to Applications, locate "HP Smart", and drag it to the Trash.
- On Windows:
Restart Your Device
- Restart your computer or device to ensure that all components of the app are removed and the system is refreshed.
Download the HP Smart App Again
- Visit the HP Smart App website and choose the appropriate version for your operating system.
- Alternatively:
- On Windows: Go to the Microsoft Store, search for "HP Smart," and click Get or Install.
- On macOS: Visit the Mac App Store, search for "HP Smart," and click Get or Install.
Install the HP Smart App
- Follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the HP Smart app on your device.
Set Up Your Printer in the HP Smart App
- Once the HP Smart app is installed, open it.
- Follow the prompts to add your HP Smart Tank 5101 printer to the app. Make sure your printer is powered on and connected to the same network as your device.
Troubleshooting Tips
- Check Your Internet Connection: Ensure your device has a stable internet connection during the download and installation process.
- Clear the App Cache (If the Issue Persists):
- On Windows: Go to Settings > Apps > HP Smart > Advanced Options > Reset.
