I am having trouble with downloading statements to print for our church. I cannot download. I checked for updates and it said my system was good. so what else can I go look at to trouble shoot? I am not very tech savvy so please bare that in mind that I may need extra information of where to go find what you may suggest.

Hi @Marissa101, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Check If the Issue Is with the File or Website

  • Try downloading a different file (PDF, Word doc, etc.) from another website.
  • If other files download fine, the issue is with the church's website, not your printer.
  • If nothing downloads, move to the next step.

Check Your Internet Connection

  • Open a web browser and visit any website (like Google).
  • If the page doesn’t load, restart your WiFi router and try again.

Try a Different Browser

  • If you’re using Edge or Safari, try Chrome or Firefox instead.
  • Some websites work better on different browsers.

Change Your File Download Location

  • Sometimes, files download but don’t show up where you expect.
  • In Chrome:
    • Press Ctrl + J (Cmd + J on Mac) to open Downloads and check if your file is listed.
    • If it says "Failed", right-click and select Retry.
  • Try saving the file to Desktop instead of "Downloads."

Run the HP Print & Scan Doctor

  • Download & install HP Print and Scan Doctor from here.
  • Open the tool and let it detect & fix any printing issues.

💙 Let me know which step helps or if you need more guidance.
