HP ENVY 6022 All-in-One Printer

I am trying to add my HP Envy 6022 to my Mac book but it isn't discoverable. It will print via the HP smart app if something is saved from google drive but the Mac won't find the printer to connect to and print straight from the Mac. As it was previously set up on and old MacBook I don't have the set up documents so don't know how to set it up as new.

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that your printer is undiscoverable from Mac, I am glad to assist you.

  • Uninstall the HP print driver and then install the HP Smart app to set up and use the printer.
  • Download and install HP Easy Start from 123.hp.com/setup.
  • From the HP Easy Start drop-down menu, select Uninstall HP Software.
  • Clicking Uninstall HP software in HP Easy Start
  • Follow the prompts to uninstall all HP software.
  • Download and open the HP Smart app from HP Smart - Mac App Store (in English), and then follow the prompts to set up your printer.

Keep me posted.

If this helps, please mark the public post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers.
