Hi am attempting to connect a new deskjet 2632 to my mac and struggling. It finds the printer but says you are connected to a 5 GHz Wi-fi network and the printer can only be connected to a 2.4 GHz wi-fi network. It will be going in the bin shortly as it does not tell you how to do this and it it affect my computer connection speed if I do this

Hi,

Your router must allow a 2.4GHz WiFi connection, if you see 2 names for your network (e.g. one with _5 and another one with _24 as an example), connect your Mac to the 2.4 WiFi name and then follow HP Easy Start to connect the printer again.

If only one name is listed for your home network, contact your router service provider and ensure your wifi network allow a 2.4GHz connection to connect the printer.

Hi I changed it to only 2.4 and that didnt work either. I tried reinstalling the software numerous times, as well as all their recommendations in regards to the settings. After 2 days I no longer require help as I got so frustrated I smashed it into pieces and went and bought a Canon one which connected straight away and works perfectly. The last time I ever buy anything HP
