I am trying to install my Deskjet 2510 series via USP on my new iMac running on Mac OS Sonoma.  What driver can be used if I do not have wi-fi capability.

1.  Please download and install  HP Printer drivers for MacOS from the next link:

• https://apple.com/HP_Drivers.dmg

2. And go to System Preferences > Printers then Add the printer.

I did find your solution from another discussion.  I downloaded the file and it does work, but only for printing.  My old printer is also able to scan but it doesn't work with the downloaded print driver.  

Any suggestions on how to get the scan capability.

I tried the recommendation but received the following error msg.

"The operation couldn't be completed.  (com.apple.imagecapture error 4294957375.)  (-9921)

Ok, then try to add HP Smart and then click scanner option inside HP Smart.

HP Smart for Mac.

I downloaded the file HP Smart.  However, it appears that it only works with wifi or ethernet connections.  I am using a USB connection.  Any other suggestions?
