Welcome to the HP English Community --

"Custom" is a special size that is available in some models of printers.

From what I've found, the feature is perhaps more likely found in a top-tier OfficeJet Pro product.

When available, "Custom" is listed in the paper size list in either the Printer Control Panel paper size list (right after loading paper size / type OR after opening and closing the intake tray AND / OR when using the Embedded Web Server (EWS) to view / adjustTray and Paper settings.

In the Example, "Custom" is included in the Paper Sizes list for plain paper in Tray 2

What else?

Printing PDF files can be set to "Fit" or "Shrink" the content to fit the supported paper size.

Example - Windows - Adobe Reader - Main Menu and Properties Options

Custom Paper Size Forms

This printer does support a feature named "Custom Paper Size Form" -- Custom paper size forms are created in a supported environment (for example, Windows).

After it is created, the custom paper size is listed with the other paper sizes in the application or software you are using to print on supported paper types.
