Hi @TennisB ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you want to change the SSID (Service Set Identifier) on your HP DeskJet 2600 All-in-One Printer series, you typically need to access the printer's settings through its control panel or a web interface.
Here's a general guide on how to do it:
- Access Printer Settings: Turn on your printer and make sure it's connected to your network. Then, on your computer, open a web browser and type in the IP address of your printer. You can find the printer's IP address by printing a network configuration page from the printer's control panel.
- Log In (if required): If prompted, enter the printer's username and password to access its settings. The default username and password for HP printers are often "admin" and "admin" respectively, but this may vary depending on your printer model.
- Navigate to Wireless Settings: Once logged in, look for the wireless settings or network settings section. This may vary depending on the printer model and firmware version.
- Change SSID: Within the wireless settings, you should see an option to change the SSID. Click on it, and you'll be prompted to enter the new SSID name.
- Save Changes: After entering the new SSID, save your changes. The printer may reboot or apply the new settings automatically.
- Reconnect Devices: Once the SSID has been changed, you'll need to reconnect any devices that were previously connected to the printer using the old SSID. You may need to forget the old network on your devices and reconnect to the printer using the new SSID.
If your printer doesn't have a web interface or you're having trouble accessing it, you can also try changing the SSID directly on the printer's control panel. Look for a "Wireless" or "Network" menu on the printer's display and navigate through the options to find the SSID settings.
If you encounter any difficulties during this process, consult your printer's user manual

I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
