Hi @Hk125,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're unable to connect your HP Smart Tank 520 series printer to your laptop even after installing all drivers. Here are the most effective steps to resolve the issue:

Please note: Support on Community is related to Posts; we do not have options for a call back.

Step-by-Step Fix

1. Use the HP Smart App (Recommended)

  • Download the latest version of the HP Smart app from the Microsoft Store.
  • Open the app and click “Set up a new printer”.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to connect via Wi-Fi or USB.

2. Restore Wi-Fi Setup Mode on the Printer

If the printer was previously connected to another network:

  • Press and hold the Wi-Fi and Cancel buttons together for 5 seconds.
  • This resets the network settings and enables Wi-Fi setup mode (the Wi-Fi light should blink).

3. Run the HP Smart App

4. Check Windows Settings

  • Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
  • Click Add device and wait for your printer to appear.
  • If it doesn’t, click “The printer that I want isn’t listed” and follow the wizard.

5. Try USB Connection First

  • Connect the printer via USB.
  • Once detected, use the HP Smart app to switch to wireless setup.

6. Update Printer Firmware

I hope this helps.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
