Hi @Billog,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If you've made changes to the scanner configuration and now cannot print from Microsoft Publisher while printing from Windows functions normally, the issue may lie in the printer settings specific to Publisher.

Verify Printer Connectivity in Publisher:

  • Open Microsoft Publisher.
  • Go to File > Print.
  • Check if your printer (HP OfficeJet Pro 9018) is listed, and ensure there are no issues indicated.

Remove and Re-add Printer:

  • In Windows, navigate to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
  • Select the HP OfficeJet Pro 9018 from the list.
  • Click Remove device.
  • Restart your computer.
  • Re-add the printer by clicking Add a printer or scanner, follow the prompts to complete the setup.

Publisher Settings:

  • Open Publisher again.
  • Go to File > Print.
  • Check if the printer is correctly listed now.

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Ensure you have the latest driver installed for your HP OfficeJet Pro 9018.
  • Go to the HP Support website to download and install the latest drivers for your printer.

Check Printer Properties:

  • In Windows, go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click on HP OfficeJet Pro 9018 and select Printer properties.
  • Ensure settings such as sharing, ports, and other properties are correctly configured.

Reset Printer Settings and Configuration:

  • If you suspect any configuration changes may have disrupted the connection:
    • Revert the scanner to its previous settings.
    • Sometimes resetting the printer/scanner to its default configuration may help.

Reinstall Publisher:

  • If none of the above steps resolve the issue, consider reinstalling Microsoft Publisher:
    • Uninstall Publisher via the Control Panel > Programs and Features.
    • Restart your computer.
    • Reinstall Publisher and check if the issue is resolved.

I hope this helps.
