I can scan from the HP Smart App but I cannot activate scanning from the printer. MSG on printer screen indicates download HP Smart which is installed correctly. Next MSG on printer screen indicates "Open software select Print, scan & fax>scan>manage scan to computer. I cannot find this prompt on the HP Smart App

To get installed the complete software solution, please download it via the following HP link: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/OJ8010/Full_Webpack-49.10.4647-OJ8010_Full_Webpac....

Afterwards, please run the installation program Full_Webpack-49.10.4647-OJ8010_Full_Webpack.exe and then follow the instructions on the screen to complete the printer installation.

Otherwise, open the Windows Start menu, then type HP OfficeJet 8010 series (at the bottom it should say Application). Click on it and the HP Printer Wizard will open.

Hello,

 

Have you installed the full driver and software version of your printer on your PC?

If so, please double click on the shortcut of your printer on the Windows desktop (HP OfficeJet 8010 series). This will open the HP Printer Wizard window.

  1. Open the HP Printer Wizard.
  2. Click Print & Scan ou Print, scan, fax, and then click Scan.
  3. Select Manage Scan to Computer.
  4. Click Enable.

If this is not the case, please download and install the HP OfficeJet 8010 series Full Software and Drivers.

Hi Mans thanks for your quick response. I have downloaded the printer (HP Officejet 8010 series) via the HP Smart App (again to start form scratch).  I cannot see if the "full driver and software version " has been installed.

Hi Mans thanks for sending the link as listed on your previous mail. I should be noted that the downloading  and installing the software via the HP Smart App, the "complete software solution" was not being downloaded hence my issue as listed. However using the link you sent via your mail solved the issue. Thank you for your quick and efficient response to solving my issue.
