i can't download the HP Smart app on my laptop, as it is not available, or connect my laptop with the device. My laptop is HP Omen series. I have downloaded the app on my android smartphone, but I can't find the printer device when I search for it. I followed the instruction to set up the printer but is not working either.

Hello,

Thanks for the advice and instructions. I am still having a problem downloading the application. I have always been logged in my account.

I thought that my windows version could be old, but even after I updated the new version the issue remains the same. The application is not available, so I cannot do any further process.Annotation 2020-04-01 175717.jpg

Consider / Try...

If you have not done so,

Sign into your Microsoft account so you can use the Windows Store.

If you are logged into your Microsoft account, try logging out and then back into the account.

Windows Store - website

Help for the Store from Microsoft:

I can't find or install an app from Microsoft Store

and / or

123.hp.com - Printer setup from the HP® Official site

https://123.hp.com/

Beware of Fake 123 printer sites

  • There are several “fake” sites listed (in search engines) for “123” – please make sure you are using the actual “HP” site.

  • Notice the website address – the real HP site does not contain any extra verbiage.  For example, there is no “setup” or other extra bits in the address.

  • HP websites are the only websites allowed to use the HP copyright circle/logo.  Look for the copyright on any website claiming to be HP. If in doubt, scroll to the bottom of the Website to find HP copyright logo.  Example:  “© Copyright <year> HP Development Company, L.P.”

  • If you are asked for money to correct "issues" on your computer OR if the “help” wants to log into your computer, you are using a “fake” site. Do not give these people your information!

Not sure about what else might be wrong - the printer support website shows that app should be available for this printer.

Nothing of the above steps works.

I have restarted my device again.

Logged out and Logged in my account.

Followed the steps. I am able to find the app ONLY if I search from the website. When I click on the "Get" button next to the app, the Microsoft Store appears on a new window but the same message is still appearing. "The application is not available"

I also tried to download the software directly from HP site, but it cannot find the software for the printer device model.

I am sorry that is the case.

For those reading - for Windows 10

Log into your computer using your Microsoft Account

Or Log into your Microsoft account after logging in your local Windows account.

 HP DeskJet 2632 All-in-One Printer

Open Category Software, Drivers and Firmware

Click "Get the App"

What to do?

Not sure.

=====================================================

You could try a Hard Restart / Boot on the computer.  That seems a bit extreme for one little store application that won't load.  Nonetheless, the Restart procedure will not hurt a healthy system and it might actually work if the problem is a tangle in the Windows OS instructions that are stored  in memory.

“Press and Pray”

Forced Restart / Boot

IF a BIOS update is just stuck / stubborn / frozen-in-place half way through the update / boot process,

OR

If there are boot issues that prevent a complete or clean boot of the Operating System,

IF there is not actually anything wrong with the windows installation or the File System,

Then

The following procedure might resolve the issue.

  1. Unplug everything, including power and all other externally connected components
  2. Press and hold down the power button for thirty (30) to forty (40) seconds
  3. Release the power button
  4. Plug in only basic components needed to start / boot the computer

  • Desktop:  Connect Power, wired mouse and keyboard, HDMI to monitor (and monitor is powered on)
  • Notebook:  Connect AC Power

  1. Switch on the system with power button - Click power and release (as for normal boot)

Hoped for Results:

  • System switches on, monitor active, mouse and keyboard responsive

If the issue was a "stuck" BIOS update:

  • Screen shows the BIOS update window with choices:  cancel / update
  • Wait several seconds; stare at it and contemplate actions.  (The process will continue on its own after about 10-20 seconds)
  • BIOS update continues, completes, and reboots the system

When the system reboots,

  1. Log in
  2. Connect LAN (Ethernet)
  3. Connect other components (USB, external webcam, speakers...)
  4. General housekeeping (checks, more staring at it)

 ====================================================================

Assuming other applications from the Windows Store can be installed, it is not likely the Store.  Nonetheless, you could try resetting the Windows Store (again) and see if that makes any difference.

Reset the Windows Store Application

Method 1 - Programs - Reset and Clear Store Cache

  1. Microsoft Store does not launch (Preferred method)
  2. How to Clear and Reset the Store Cache in Windows 10

Method 2 – Reset Store – Manual Method

Create Restore Point

Stop all programs:  Browsers, games, Applications, etc.

Control Panel > icon view > System > System Protection

Click (Highlight) your main disk (C) > Select Create a Restore Point

Windows Updates

Install any uninstalled updates to Windows.

Settings > Update & Security > Check for Updates.

If any updates are installed, Restart the computer and log in

Reset the Application for the Store

Windows key > type / search for:   wsreset

Right-Click on wsreset >

Select “Open File Location” >

When the folder opens,

Right-Click on wsreset >

Run as administrator

Restart the computer and log in

Reminder:  Access to the Store requires that you are logged in to your Microsoft account.

For the moment, I am out of ideas.  This is simply not an issue that I can duplicate.

Problem solved,

I had to change the Region country. The device has been originally bought from a different country.

Thank you for all the instructions and advice. I apologise for the trouble.

Now I have to connect the printer on my laptop, lets see how it goes.

Thanks again!
