Are you talking about the cable that goes from the computer to the printer? Is it a USB cable you are looking for? If yes, those are pretty much universal and as long as you get one with the right connectors on it you will be fine. Try a local computer shop or electronics shop. Or even Walmart.

Thanks for the suggestion, but if it were that easy, I wouldn't be posting the problem here. It has a square shaped connector at the printer end. HP said it was discontinued and gave me the parts surfer website, but it's not on it. There is no live customer support for that site.
