I did everything like in user guide. But in the end, I can't finish my printer set up in HP smart app.
Any advice?

Try these steps:

Ensure Wi-Fi Connection

  • Make sure your printer and computer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Check that your Wi-Fi signal is strong enough to connect to the printer.

Restart Devices

  • Restart both your printer and your computer or mobile device.
  • After restarting, try reconnecting to see if the issue is resolved.

Update HP Smart App

  • Make sure you have the latest version of the HP Smart app installed on your device.
  • You can check for updates in the app store or on the official HP website.

Reset Network Settings

  • On the printer control panel, navigate to the Network menu and reset the network settings.
  • Reconfigure the Wi-Fi settings again and ensure it connects properly.

Use HP Print and Scan Doctor

Confirm Printer is Online

  • Check that your printer is not in offline mode.
  • Ensure the HP Smart app recognizes your printer and displays it as an available device.

Disable VPN and Firewalls Temporarily

  • Sometimes, VPNs and firewalls can interfere with the connection.
  • Temporarily disable them and try setting up the printer again.

Manual IP Address Entry

  • During the setup, you can manually enter the printer’s IP address in the HP Smart app to help the app find your printer on the network.
  • The IP address can be found on the printer’s control panel by navigating to the Network information.
