I can't set the time on my OfficeJet 5258

I can't set the time on my new HP OfficeJet 5258. The date is correct, but all three choices for the time on the printer control panel are wrong, the closest one being 6 hours ahead. None of the three choices can actually be selected, but the display shows the one 6 hrs ahead.

The only option left is to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer. 

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.
