I downloaded and ran the drivers and software for windows 11 and HP P 1006 printer yesterday and it went fine until communicating with printer then it show the lines going back and forth in the cable and it never quit I had to turn off the computer by holding the on button down for several seconds this morning to get it to stop. So how can I get the P1006 connected to windows 11? All I need to do is Print stuff off so I wont forget..

Unfortunately, the HP smart app is not available for your printer model.

Install the printer with Windows built-in driver.
