HP DESKJET ADVANTAGE 2335, I tried to use the app as per instruction but when trying to add printer , my printer does not show up and I cannot connect it

This printer just connects with a USB cable.

Install the software and then plug the cable into the computer. The computer should make a beeping noise when the USB cable is plugged in.
