Hi @Nikee1,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To reset the Embedded Web Server (EWS) password on your HP Deskjet 2620, you'll need to perform a factory reset of the printer. Here’s how you can do that.

Turn on the Printer: Ensure the printer is powered on.

Access the Control Panel:

  • On the printer’s control panel, look for a button or icon that allows you to access settings. This might be labeled with a gear or wrench symbol, or it could be under "Setup" or "Settings."

Navigate to the Network Menu:

  • Go to the “Network” or “Wireless” settings. This option can vary, so look for anything related to network or wireless settings.

Perform a Factory Reset:

  • Look for an option to perform a factory reset or restore network settings. This might be listed under "Restore Defaults," "Reset Network Settings," or a similar option. Confirm the reset when prompted.

Wait for the Reset to Complete:

  • The printer will restart, and the network settings will be reset to default. This will also reset the EWS password to the default, which is usually "admin" with no password, or simply blank.

Access the EWS:

  • Once the printer is connected to the network, open a web browser on your computer and enter the printer’s IP address to access the EWS. You can find the IP address by printing a network configuration page from the printer’s settings menu.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
