I forgot my admin password, so no the webinterface is locked. I did a factory reset, but that didn't reset my password. Is there an other way to reset te password? Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the HP Support Community. 

 

I'd like to help!

 

The firmware must be updated first if an older version is installed, else the reset will not be made.
Please update the printer's firmware: Click here

 

You will need to follow the instructions below to solve this issue:

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. While applying power to the printer, press and hold the Color Copy () and Resume () buttons.

 

If the ab love steps do not fix the issue, We have to perform a Semi Full Reset to unlock the features of the printer/Reset the password. 

 

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer. 

 

In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Community profile, next to your profile Name, or simply click on this link.
