How do i adjust my settings so I can print in colour (or the ability to choose)?

I have a HP ENVY 6000 series printer. It has printed in colour in the past, however it no longer has a colour option, and prints only in Black and white. Ink levels are sufficient (near full) in both black and colour cartridges. I have not been able to find the appropriate steps to fix this online. Previously I had the ability to choose grey scale or colour... not sure why I now cant.

Hi @Hewat16,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

 I'd like to help!

I understand you are unable to print in color

To assist  better-

1) Are you able to make color copies using the printer?

2) What's the application you are trying to print from? Have you tried printing from a different application or devices?

While you respond to that, let's print a Print Quality Diagnostic page -

  • Make sure your device is on the same wireless network as your printer.
  • Open HP Smart, and then select your printer, if it is not already selected.
  • Under Tools, click Printer Reports.
  • Next to Print Quality Report, click Print.

Post the Print Quality Diagnostic page here so we can help you further.

You may also refer to this document with steps to fix " Print Quality Issues" issue applicable for your printer - Print Quality Issues

Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
