Hi @TheServiceTech,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Officejet H470 Mobile Printer is not officially supported on Windows 11, you might still be able to get it working using a couple of alternative methods. Here’s what you can try:
1. Use Windows Compatibility Mode
Download the Driver:
- Visit the HP Support website and search for the Officejet H470 printer.
- Download the latest available driver for Windows 10 or earlier.
Install in Compatibility Mode:
- Right-click on the downloaded driver file and select Properties.
- Go to the Compatibility tab.
- Check the box for Run this program in compatibility mode for: and select Windows 10 (or another earlier version).
- Click Apply and then OK.
- Run the installer and follow the prompts.
2. Use Generic HP Driver
- Sometimes, generic HP drivers can work:
- Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
- Click on Add a printer or scanner.
- If your printer does not appear, select The printer that I want isn't listed.
- Choose Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings.
- Select Use an existing port (like USB or LPT1).
- In the Manufacturer list, select HP, then look for a generic driver or a similar model (like HP Officejet 4500 or HP LaserJet).
- Follow the prompts to complete the installation.
3. Check for Windows Updates
- Sometimes, installing the latest Windows updates can help detect and install necessary drivers:
- Go to Settings > Windows Update and check for updates.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
