Example: Pavilion 6530HP Envy 5646
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

The printer is about5 years old. I have just bought a new Dell laptop. I have tried a couple of times to print but when I select Print it defaults to "Microsoft Print to PDF"; when I scroll down the options my printer details are not shown. If I scroll to "Add printer" the laptop/Windows/Microsoft settings are displayed which are the same as those displayed when I initially ask it to print; however, in this line up, after Fax there are a series of numbers followed by (HP Envy 5640 series) and underneath this line it says "Driver is unavailable". I have been on the HP website, Technical help and support and followed all the instructions given without success. I wonder if I need to "tell" the printer I have a new laptop but don't know , if that is necessary, how to do this.

I apologise for this lengthy description but I don't know what to do next. I hope someone can advise me.

Thanks for reading this.
