I have just received a printer that is a replacement for a prior broken printer. The prior printer was also a replacement for the broken original printer. I have been unable to install the new printer, using the instructions that accompanied it. The warranty on the original printer expired in July 2023; however, a few months remain on the warranty for the second printer, the one that was just replaced by the third printer.

Hi @Carl455,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you’ve had quite a journey with your HP ENVY 6455e printers! Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you with installing your new replacement printer.
Unbox the Printer:
- Remove all packaging materials from the new printer, including any protective tapes and plastic.
Connect the Printer:
- Plug the power cord into the printer and connect it to a power source.
- Turn on the printer using the power button.
Install Ink Cartridges:
- Open the ink cartridge access door.
- Insert the ink cartridges into their respective slots, making sure they click into place. Follow any instructions specific to the cartridge installation.
Load Paper:
- Open the paper tray and load it with paper. Adjust the paper guides to fit the size of the paper.
Download and Install Software:
- Go to the HP Support website and search for the HP ENVY 6455e All-in-One Printer.
- Download the latest software and drivers for your printer model and operating system.
- Run the downloaded installer and follow the on-screen instructions to install the software.
Connect to Wi-Fi:
- During the installation process, you’ll be prompted to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network. Follow the instructions to complete this step.
Complete Setup:
- After installation, you might need to print a test page to ensure everything is working correctly.
Register Your Printer:
- If you haven’t already, you can register your printer on the HP website to activate your warranty and receive support.
If you encounter any issues during the installation or if the printer isn’t recognized, try restarting your computer and printer, and make sure your Wi-Fi network is working properly.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
