HP ENVY 5643
have original CD also and a CD drive attached to our new computer but it is not getting anywhere
then in the original book there is also a QR code-but apparently that is out of date-I do not need to buy a new printer this one works just fine. I just want to install access to it on my new computers

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,
In Windows, search for and open Add a printer or scanner.
Click Add a printer or scanner, and then wait for Windows to locate available printers. If your printer is found, click it, and then click Add device to complete the driver installation.
Also, download and install the latest version of the full feature software.
NOTE: You can also use the installation CD if it includes the driver for your version of Windows.
- Turn on the printer.
- Disconnect the USB cable from the printer, if necessary. The software installation prompts you to connect the cable if needed.
- Go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads..
- If a "Let's identify your product to get started" page displays, click "Printer", type your printer model number, and then click "Submit".
- If you need to change the operating system, click Change, select your version, and then click "Change".
- Download and install the HP recommended driver or software available for your product
