@GeorgeGager, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To resolve the issue with your HP ENVY 6458e printer not connecting to your new Windows 11 computer after a move, follow these steps:

Check Connections

  • USB Connection: Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the printer and your computer. If you’re using wireless, make sure the printer is properly connected to the Wi-Fi network.
  • Power Cycle: Power off the printer and the computer, then power both back on. This can help reset connections.

Update Printer Drivers

  • Install HP Smart App: If you haven't already, download and install the HP Smart app from the Microsoft Store. It's designed to make setting up and managing your HP printer easier.
  • Update Drivers: Go to HP's official website, search for your printer model (HP ENVY 6458e), and download the latest drivers for Windows 11. After installing the latest drivers, restart your computer.

Connect Printer to Network (Wireless)

  • Wi-Fi Setup: If you intend to connect your printer wirelessly, you’ll need to connect it to your Wi-Fi network again.
    • On the printer's control panel, go to the Wireless Setup Wizard or Network Setup option.
    • Follow the instructions to connect the printer to the same Wi-Fi network as your Windows 11 PC.
  • Check Printer IP: Make sure your printer has a valid IP address and is visible in your network. You can print a network configuration page from your printer's control panel to verify this.

Run Windows Printer Troubleshooter

  • Open Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other Troubleshooters.
  • Run the Printer troubleshooter to diagnose and fix any issues that might be preventing your printer from connecting.

Ensure Printer is Set as Default

  • Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
  • Ensure your printer is listed and set as the default printer.

Check Firewall/Security Software

  • Sometimes, firewalls or security software may block printer communication.
  • Temporarily disable any firewall or antivirus software and see if the printer connects. Remember to re-enable your firewall afterward.

Reset Printer Settings

  • If the above steps don’t work, you might need to reset your printer to factory settings to clear any previous configurations.
  • This can usually be done via the printer’s settings menu, under Network Settings or Restore Defaults.

Reinstall Printer

  • Uninstall the printer from your computer:
    • Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners > Select your printer > Remove device.
  • Restart your computer and add the printer again through Printers & Scanners.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
