Hi @David846,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're experiencing an issue with your HP Deskjet 4130e printer where it's not printing on the bottom 4cm of an A4 page. There could be a few reasons for this problem, and I'll provide you with some troubleshooting steps to help resolve the issue.

  • Check Paper Settings: Make sure that your printer settings are correctly configured for A4 paper size. Sometimes, incorrect paper settings can cause the printer to not align properly with the paper.
  • Margins and Page Setup: Check your document's margins and page setup settings. If the margins are set too large, it could push your content off the printable area of the paper. Adjust the margins to ensure that your content fits within the printable area.
  • Driver and Software: Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers and software installed. Outdated or corrupted drivers could cause printing issues. You can visit the HP official website to download the latest drivers for your printer model.
  • Calibrate Printer: Some printers have calibration features that help align the printing correctly on the paper. Check if your printer has a calibration option and follow the instructions provided in the printer's manual.
  • Check Paper Tray and Guides: Ensure that the paper is loaded correctly in the paper tray and that the paper guides are properly adjusted to hold the paper in place. Misaligned paper can cause printing issues.
  • Printer Maintenance: Perform a printer maintenance routine, such as cleaning the printhead. Sometimes, debris or dried ink on the printhead can affect printing quality.
  • Print Preview: Before printing, use the print preview feature in your document software to check how the content will be positioned on the page. This can help you identify any alignment issues before wasting paper.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
