Operating System: macOS 12.0 Monterey

I have this older printer connected via cable to my MacBook .  The MacBook sees the printer but nothing shows up in the print queue.

The latest MacOS software for your printer is 10.12 and you need "12"

I do not think it will work but you can try it.  I did notice that windows 11 is supported so you could possible sell and get a printer qualified for MacOS  for 12 or even Sonoma

 

If the printer has native PDF then try printing to a "PDF" file on the laptop and use HP Smart to print the PDF file.  If the printer has native PDF fonts then it might work.
