So, my problem is that my bluetooth is no longer working, it's not showing up under the settings when I want to add/detect a device. In device manager, "Bluetooth Device" only shows up after I set device manager to "show hidden devices"  and once I do that the only thing under the Bluetooth Device is "Ralink Bluetooth PCIe Adapter" which has a yellow exclamation point sign in the logo.

     When I go to properties, the "Device status" shows this message:

Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)
then I go into Events then  It says this is not started -

Device PCI\VEN_1814&DEV_3298&SUBSYS_18EC103C&REV_00\4&2e6ad01f&0&01E2 had a problem starting.

You have the RT3290 chipset

According to Microsoft there is no windows 11 driver

@Paul_Tikkanen has a driver that might work on windows 10

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Wireless-and-Networking/Ralink-RT3290-802-11bgn-Wi-Fi-Adapter...

You might consider buying an inexpensive USB to Bluetooth receiver.

@SuperUser1

There's no fix for the Ralink Bluetooth on W10/W11.

The driver you were given is for the Wi-Fi.

This is the W10 Bluetooth driver which will not work anymore.

If you let me know the full model number or product number of your notebook and how many antenna wires are connected to the Ralink Wi-Fi card (you will have to open the access panel on the bottom of the PC), you may be able to upgrade the Wi-Fi adapter to a dual band card with Bluetooth that will work on W10/W11.

Otherwise, as BeemerBiker suggested, you will have to use a USB BT adapter.

Thankyou, I would prefer to use a USB BT. Thankyou again for your valuable time.
