Hello, @Vic25 - Greetings!
Thanks for accessing the HP Support Forums for extra support! It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts, and other support personnel 🙂
I understand you are facing issues while setting up wireless on your Photosmart printer after moving the house / network. I would suggest you install the printer using the USB cable and then convert the USB connected printer to Wireless to get it connected.
Here are the steps:
- Unplug the USB cable from the printer and computer if present.
- Go to Control panel – Programs and feature – Select all the HP Photosmart printer entries and uninstall them.
- Now, go to HP Photosmart C4500 All-in-One Printer series to download and install the printer drivers.
- In the connectivity tab, select "USB"
- Connect the USB cable and finish the printer installation.
If you want to change from a USB to wireless network connection, use the Printer Setup & Software utility that installed with your printer software.
-
Search for the printer name, and then click the name of your printer.
The printer software opens.
-
Click Tools, and then click Device Setup & Software.
-
Select the option which says "Convert a USB printer to Wireless"
-
Follow the onscreen instructions and complete the installation.
Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance!
Cheers 🙂
