Hi @6055eA,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand the error you're encountering, UA_400_EBO0OU0410, suggests that the HP Smart app is having trouble registering your HP ENVY 6055e printer, likely because it's still linked to your friend's old HP account.

Here's how you can resolve this issue:

Steps to Fix the Registration Error:

Unregister the Printer from Your Friend's Account:

  • Ask your friend to log into their HP Smart account using their credentials and remove the printer from their account.
  • If your friend no longer has access to their account, they can contact HP Support to request a disassociation of the printer from their account.

Factory Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • While the printer is off, press and hold the Cancel button (X) and the Wireless button together.
  • Plug the printer back in while holding these buttons for about 10-15 seconds until the power button lights up or begins flashing.
  • This should reset the printer to factory settings, allowing you to start fresh with your own account.

Reinstall HP Smart App: HP printer setup (HP Smart app)

  • Make sure the HP Smart app on your Android device is up to date.
  • Uninstall and reinstall the HP Smart app if needed to clear any residual settings.

Re-add the Printer to Your HP Smart Account:

  • Open the HP Smart app and sign in (or create a new HP account if you don’t already have one).
  • Ensure that your printer is on the same Wi-Fi network as your Android device.
  • Follow the on-screen steps to add the printer to your account.

Check the Printer's Status:

  • If the printer is now linked to your account, try printing a test page to confirm the connection.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
