Hi @Iceman18
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out!
I understand your HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 3525 e-All-in-One Printer is asking for SETUP cartridges and you’re unable to access the printer menu.
For this printer, SETUP cartridges are specifically used during the printer's initial setup to calibrate it before the first print job. HP states that the SETUP cartridges supplied with the printer must be installed during that initial process.

Kindly confirm was the printer recently reset, serviced, or restored to factory settings?
- Are you currently using genuine HP cartridges, and what cartridge numbers are installed?
Kindly try the below steps and confirm :
- Turn the printer on and disconnect the power cord from the rear.
- Unplug it from the wall outlet for about 60 seconds.
- Reconnect it directly to the wall outlet and turn it on.
- Remove and carefully reinstall all four cartridges, ensuring each cartridge is seated firmly in its correct color-coded slot.
- Check whether the same SETUP cartridge message appears.
For your can also refer to HP's official HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 3525 setup and support page.
I hope this helps.
