Hi @ BookRack,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you have updated the drivers for your HP OfficeJet Pro 9018 and are still experiencing connectivity issues on one of your computers, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:
Check Network Connection:
- Ensure that both computers are connected to the same network.
- Verify the network connection on the computer where the printer is not working. You can try restarting the router or connecting the computer to a different network to see if the issue persists.
Firewall and Antivirus Settings:
- Check the firewall and antivirus settings on the computer where the printer is not working. Sometimes, security software can block printer communication. Temporarily disable the firewall or antivirus software to see if it resolves the issue.
Printer Status:
- Make sure that the printer is turned on and in a ready state. Check the printer display for any error messages.
- Verify that the printer is online and ready to print. You can do this through the printer control panel or the HP Smart app.
Printer Queue:
- Open the printer queue on the computer where the printer is not working. Cancel any pending print jobs and try printing again.
Remove and Reinstall the Printer:
- Remove the printer from the computer where it's not working and reinstall it.
- Go to "Settings" > "Devices" > "Printers & scanners."
- Select the printer and click on "Remove device."
- Reinstall the printer by clicking on "Add a printer or scanner" and following the on-screen instructions.
Restart Devices:
- Restart both the computer and the printer. This can sometimes resolve connectivity issues.
Check for Windows Updates:
- Ensure that your Windows 10 operating system is up to date. Install any pending updates and restart your computer.
HP Print and Scan Doctor:
- Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor, a diagnostic tool provided by HP. It can help identify and resolve common printing problems.
Reconfigure Printer Settings:
- Access the printer settings through the control panel or HP Smart app and ensure that the printer is set as the default printer.
Check IP Address:
- Verify that the printer has a static IP address or reserve the IP address on your router to ensure consistent connectivity.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.-
