When I open the support assistant, click on "updates" it finds my printer and opens up a window that shows the latest version of the firmware by my printer and under the status column it shows "up to date".  I can't install it again because that button is "shadowed" out.  The only way I can get rid of the warning on my Support Icon is to cancel out the update and the next page appears asking how the update went with 3 choices: 1. Update failed, 2. Update successful, 3, Don't know.  If I chose option 1 or 3 the warning stays on my icon.  If I chose option 2, then the warning goes away, but will appear a few days or weeks later to start this all over again.  The support assistant never seems to "register" that I have the update already.  Everything on the printer works fine, but the continual warning is irritating.

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

The latest firmware update available for the printer is Version: 2009B released on Apr 3, 2020.

If you have this on the printer, you need not worry and ignore the message on HPSA.
