Hi @DJHeck

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To download the software for your HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 on your new iMac, follow these steps:

1. Visit HP Support Website:

  1. Open your web browser and go to the HP Software and Driver Downloads.

2. Search for Your Printer:

  1. In the search box, type "OfficeJet Pro 8600" and select your specific model from the dropdown list that appears.

3. Select Your Operating System:

  1. The website should automatically detect your operating system (macOS). If not, select macOS from the dropdown menu.

4. Download the Software:

  1. Look for the Full Feature Software and Drivers section.
  2. Click on the Download button to get the latest version of the software.

5. Install the Software:

  1. Once the download is complete, locate the downloaded file (usually in your Downloads folder).
  2. Double-click the file to start the installation process.
  3. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.

6. Connect Your Printer:

  1. Ensure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your iMac.
  2. During the installation process, you should be prompted to connect your printer. Choose the appropriate method (Wi-Fi or USB).

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
