I have a HP Envy 5643 printer. Sometimes it goes off line and, usually to fix it I remove the printer and go through the process of adding the printer again. I recently took my computer and had a tune up done. Today my printer went "off line" again so I went to settings and hit "remove printer" as usual. For HOURS it just said "removing printer". Now it won't even give me the option to add it, now it says "DRIVER UNAVAILABLE"!! What do I do to fix this and get my printer back to printing? Please help!

Hi @MaryAusta1 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand to resolve the "NO DRIVER AVAILABLE" issue with your HP ENVY 5643 E-All-In-One Printer on Windows 10 (32-bit), follow these steps:
Step 1: Uninstall Any Existing Printer Software
- Disconnect the Printer: Ensure your printer is disconnected from your computer.
- Uninstall Printer Software:
- Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features.
- Find any HP printer software listed and uninstall it.
- Remove Printer from Devices:
- Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
- If your printer is listed, click on it and select Remove device.
Step 2: Download and Install the Latest Driver
- Visit HP's Official Website:
- Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page.
- Enter Printer Details:
- Type HP ENVY 5643 in the search bar and select your printer model.
- Select Your Operating System:
- Make sure to select Windows 10 (32-bit).
- Download the Driver:
- Download the full feature driver or the basic driver for your printer model.
Step 3: Install the Driver
- Run the Downloaded File:
- Once the download is complete, open the file and follow the on-screen instructions to install the driver.
- Connect the Printer:
- During the installation process, you will be prompted to connect your printer. Connect it via USB or ensure it's connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.
Step 4: Verify Printer Installation
- Check Printer in Devices:
- Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
- Ensure your HP ENVY 5643 is listed and shows as available.
- Print a Test Page:
- Right-click on the printer and select Printer properties.
- Click on Print Test Page to verify that the printer is working correctly.
Step 5: Additional Troubleshooting (if needed)
- Run HP Print and Scan Doctor: Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to diagnose and resolve any issues.
- Check for Windows Updates:
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
- Check for updates and install any that are available.
Step 6: Restart Your Computer
- After completing the above steps, restart your computer to ensure all changes take effect.
