@AzucenaBallard3, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're trying to set up your new HP printer, but the HP Smart app gets stuck on "Processing" at the final step. Let's walk through some steps to resolve this and get your printer up and running smoothly.

Restart Devices

  • Power off your printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Restart your computer or mobile device.
  • After 30 seconds, plug the printer back in and power it on.

Check Internet Connection

  • Ensure your device is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network (not a mobile hotspot or guest network).
  • Avoid using VPNs during setup.

Update or Reinstall HP Smart App

  • Make sure you have the latest version of the HP Smart app: HP Smart

If already installed, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

Reset Printer Network Settings

  • On the printer control panel, go to Settings > Network Settings > Restore Network Defaults.
  • Alternatively, press and hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons together for 5 seconds (for most HP DeskJet and ENVY models).

Use HP Smart Setup Again

  • Open the HP Smart app and click “Set Up a New Printer”.
  • Follow the prompts and ensure the printer is in Wi-Fi setup mode (Wi-Fi light should be blinking).

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
