Hi @Sherwin1004

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you’re unable to connect to your printer via the HP Smart app and it shows "setup is incomplete," there are a few potential issues to address. Let’s walk through the steps to troubleshoot the connection and get things up and running.

Troubleshooting Steps:

1. Check Printer’s Network Connection

  • Make sure the printer is connected to Wi-Fi: Ensure the printer is properly connected to your Wi-Fi network.
    • On the printer’s control panel, navigate to the network settings or Wi-Fi settings. You should see the name of the network it's connected to.
    • If it’s not connected, go to the Wi-Fi setup wizard on the printer and select your network. Enter the correct Wi-Fi password.
  • Use HP’s Wireless Setup: If you’re still having trouble, try using HP’s Wireless Setup Wizard:
    • On the printer, go to Setup > Network Setup > Wireless Setup Wizard and follow the on-screen prompts to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi.

2. Check Printer and App Compatibility

  • Ensure the HP Smart app is installed correctly on your mobile device or computer. You can download it from the App Store (for iPhone) or Google Play Store (for Android), or use the Windows Store for PCs.
  • Ensure your device (phone or computer) is on the same Wi-Fi network as the printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
