Product: HP LaserJet CM1415fn
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan

I really need to upgrade my HP LaserJet CM1415fn firmware but I hit a dead end.

 

The "HP Utility" software finds my Printer, but the "HP Easy Start" app refuses to find it.. And what I understand, that is the only way to upgrade the printer firmware?

 

There is an option of upgrading the printer by File (HP Utility), but I can't find any firmware-file out there to download.

 

Please help.

Hi,

HP Easy Start installs the printer driver, it have nothing much to do with a firmware update.

 

You likely do not see any firmware update for the latest Mac OS as the latest update was provided 4 years ago, much prior the OS release.

 

You should likely be able to use the updater made for an earlier OS version below, this is the latest firmware for your printer:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL41860/kj-101693-6/CM1410_MFP_Series_FW_Update-20140616....

 

Note: if the HP Firmware Updater fails to open by double clicking try right clicking it (or CTRL + Left click) and select Open instead)
