HP Color LaserJet Pro M254dw

I've just spent an inordinate amount of time on what I can only describe as the most horrendous website I've had the misfortune to encounter in a very long time - namely hp.com, and several of its various main sub-sections.

I've been going round & round in circles for about 2 hours. As a last resort I'm posting here.

All I wanted to do was speak to a HUMAN BEING about miss-registration of the 4 toners (that's miss-alignment of the C, M, Y & K toners - nothing to do with "registering" a product) in my LaserJet.

I've given up on that front, but the upshot of all this time wasting is that my HP account has a Username set to an old email address which I'm determined to gradually purge from EVERYWHERE possible online. My new, correct email address is what my account has recorded under "Email address". I can log in using my Username (my old email address I want to purge) OR my (correct, new) email address.

I want to change my Username from my old email address to my new one. There doesn't seem to be any way whatsoever to contact a human at HP, without paying them more than £21 though.

Does anyone know how on earth I can speak to someone that can make this change for me?

Please note that I'm NOT talking about the Username I had to choose to register with this forum - i.e. I'm NOT talking about "DDB-UK".

I AM talking about the Username - in the form of an email address - that I used to register my LaserJet when I initially bought it in 2018. Please note this is ENTIRELY SEPARATE from both the ACTUAL email address associated with my hp.com account, and is also ENTIRELY SEPARATE from my "DDB-UK" username on this forum.

And they wonder why people are driven to drink?...

Many thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide.

So I've just searched for similar topics. Depressingly there's dozens of similar threads where people are basically asking the same question.

There's a video here:

https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c03550160

showing how to change your Username (amongst other things) BUT the information is out of date. It refers to what must obviously be a previous version of the website - one much more user-friendly and Desktop computer-centric.

Alas the "My Account" link is now "My HP Account", and takes you to a completely different style of pages, which FAR fewer options, including NO option to even SEE your Username, let alone change it.

So as the "accepted solution" here says:

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Community-Feedback-Suggestions/Username/m-p/8339149

it simply can't be done.

If anyone knows differently though, please get in touch!

Many thanks.
