I am having problems printing. I can't print, I used HP Doctor and was only able to print an internal test page.  I read a post that suggested that I change my settings.  When I went in to EWSm the printer asked me for a password.  I don't rember setting a username and password.  I tried various combinations, but have had no luck.  How do I reset the password or factory reset the printer?

Thank you for joining the HP Community

Make sure the printer and the computer are connected to the same network.

Let's Restore network settings to default settings using the below steps.

1. Press the Wireless button to access the Wireless Status menu.

2. Press the button next to Settings to access the Wireless Settings menu.

3. Select Restore Defaults.

4. Confirm the selection to restore defaults

Then, to connect the printer

1. Press the Wireless button from the printer control panel, and then select Settings.

2. Scroll to select Wireless Setup Wizard, and then press OK.

3. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up the wireless connection.

4. Insert the printer software CD in the computer CD-ROM drive.

5. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the printer software.

Raj,

That did not work.  My wife is printing wirelessley.  FYI.  I uninstalled the software and reinstalled it, reconnecting the printer. Wife can print with no issue and she has the same computer with the same settings. Any other thoughts? I can't get into the EWS because I don't know the password.

Raj, In addition, the printer shows as ready and when I print something it disappears from the que, but never prints.

First to clear the password, you will need to reset the NVRAM. Check YouTube for a video with instructions. After that, you will need to update your firmware as there are often fixes for network connection problems.

Still no luck,  I couldn't figure out how to set the NVRAM, do you mean on my computer? How do I update my firmware on the printer?  I have uninstalled and reinstalled all the software several times. How do I reset the password and what is the factory default one on the printer?
