I need to reset the password to my printer to access and set up the scanning. I understand it is printer model specific and a private message needs to be sent. Thank you in advance.

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

 

Try these steps:

Reset via Printer Control Panel

Power on the printer.

On the touchscreen, tap the Settings (gear icon).

Navigate to:
Settings > General Settings > Restore Factory Defaults

Select Restore or Yes to confirm.

The printer will restart and reset all settings, including the admin password.

After reboot:

You can access the Embedded Web Server (EWS) without a password.

Go to http://[printer IP address] in a browser and set a new admin password from

System > Security > Administrator Settings

 

Reset via Embedded Web Server (if still accessible)

Open a browser and enter the printer’s IP address.

Log in (if you still know the current password).

Go to:
General > Restore Defaults

Choose Restore Factory Settings and confirm.
