I deleted my HP print driver for the HP Envy 5660 e-all -in-one wireless printer because I was thinking I could reinstall the printer driver and set it up from scratch. HP does not have the print driver software and of course due to my error I cant add a printer. I am running MACOS High Sierra 10.13.1.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Hello dd,
Please use this link for the 5660 software:
Click on Software & Drivers > Go > Download. It should show your Mac iOS 10.13 in the blue line. If not click change. Download both the HP Smart and the Driver package. You see other things here also like Troubleshooting, How To Tools, etc.
I am not an HP employee; just searching for helpful answers for queries on the forum.
A reply is greatly appreciated, if suggestions help or not, as the multitude of volunteers on the forums respond to lots of queries, which requires a great deal of time. Good luck.

Hello again DD,
Why did you delete, is there an underlying problem that also needed to be addressed?
You say you "there was a firmware update;" is the printer's firmware now installed?
One thing you could try is Restore the laptop to a previous state. Save any open documents or files, first.
In the Start (lower left in screen), click on Control Panel > Recovery > Open System Restore > Next. I see two Windows 10 updates on 1-10-18. Click on one and follow the instructions. Hopefully the printer's software is like it was before you deleted. If successful, forgo any further steps.
Full disclosure: I have no Mac devices so I can't advise on specific steps. If you can find ALL of the files in your iOS that are part of Envy 5660, delete or uninstall them.
I had more, but it didn't go. Stand by.

Hope this goes:
Three points:
-System Restore should solve the problem.
-If not, please do a COMPLETE UNINSTALL. You need to find the steps for uninstalling, etc.
-Use the official 123.HP.com site for the software. Hope that works.
Use the official HP site - 123.HP.com - to download software for your laptop. Enter 123.HP.com into your browser's address line. It should read - https://123.hp.com/us/en/ ; which if you click on this and it should open.
The official site will have the HP logo in upper left.
Caution: there are similar sites, such as 123HP.com, 123.HP.com-install, etc. Do not use.
This link has Uninstall steps (plus install). Substitute HP for Epson.

How do I add printer driver to Mac Sierra?
- Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Printers & Scanners.
- Click the Add button at the bottom of the printer list, then click Windows. ...
- Select the printer from the network browser. ...
- Click the Use pop-up menu, then choose the appropriate printer software. ...
- Click Add.

That's wonderful, dd! Sounds like you have a plan. Clicking the thumbs up next to my reply, giving a KUDos for effort, is appreciated. Good luck with the printer.
BYW, paper jams (actual and False) and problems of not printing probably are not network problems, they are internal. If the printer is older, it could be broken, causing actual paper jams and possibly needing replaced.
Also, it the printer is under warranty, there is no charge for contacting HP Support tele. It's best contacting on the web page. The process is you log onto the web link (below) and they establish your "Case" and then you call the number they provide.
