I no longer want to be 'HELD HOSTAGE' to HP and HP SMART! My printer and PC work GREAT without HP! I want HP Smart to allow me to 'uninstall it' and LET ME PRINT without HP instant ink! WHY does HP SMART keep stopping my printing? I bought my ink ELSEWHERE and told HP I want my ACCOUNT SHUT OFF!. If HP doesn't let me go and set me FREE, I'm going to get LEGAL COUNSEL:! And by the way, HP sales STILL owes me a REFUND OF $ 92.00+! Where's my FED-X shipping label Promised me a week ago? I'm VERY ANGRY at HP for 'locking my system, so I can't print! HP does NOT OWN ME or this Printer! It's mine and I PAID FOR IT! Get OFF MY BACK! If I can't use this printer TOMORROW {March 10th, 2023}, I'll seek legal advice! HP owes me $ 92.00+ TOO!

I feel your frustration,  however this is a user to user support firm, not a direct line to HP. As you do not post the model of printer, these suggestions may be a little generic. It is unclear from  your post but have you cancelled your instant ink subscription? If yes, you should be able to Uninstall HP Smart and download the full PC based drivers and programs. You could also turn off web services on the printer if you think that the printer is still checking in with the Instant ink servers.

If you find the information provided useful or solves your problems, help other users find the solution easier by marking my post as an accepted solution. Clicking "yes" on "was this reply helpful" also increases the chances that this solution will help others.
I am a volunteer, offering my knowledge to support fellow users, I do not work for HP nor speak for HP.
