HP Envy 6555e All-in-One Printer

With my new printer HP Envy 6555e, there is a mode of printing I would like to change. It happen when I am on my web mail and I want to print the message, instead to have the text printed in a vertical way, it comes out printed in the mode horizontal. What can I do to correct that situation. Thank you for your support.

Step-by-Step Guide to Print in Vertical (Portrait) Mode

 

Open the Print Settings

  • When printing from your webmail, press Ctrl + P (Windows) or Cmd + P (Mac) to open the print dialog.
  • Look for the Print Settings or Page Setup section.

Select Portrait Mode

  • Find the Orientation option.
  • Choose Portrait instead of Landscape.
  • If the setting is already on Portrait, try toggling it to Landscape and back to Portrait.

Adjust Scaling (If Needed)

  • If the text still looks off, check the Scale setting.
  • Set it to 100% or Fit to Page to ensure proper formatting.

Check Printer Preferences

  • Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers (Windows) or System Preferences > Printers & Scanners (Mac).
  • Right-click your printer and select Printing Preferences.
  • Under Layout or Orientation, ensure Portrait is selected.

Try Printing from a Different Browser

  • Some browsers may override print settings.
  • If printing from Chrome, try Edge or Firefox to see if the issue persists.

Update Printer Drivers

  • Visit HP’s firmware update page to ensure your printer has the latest updates.
  • Restart your printer after updating.
