I've got two 9022e printers, both on the same network.
I could easily upgrade the firmware of one (Edited) through the web interface, and it shows now firmware 005.2512A.00 dated 17 March 2025.
while this site:
shows version 005.2512A dated 4 April 2025.
The second 9022e printer (Edited), althought exactly the same printer, remains a mystery.
When I run the firmware update tool in HP smart, it says "up to date". However the firmware shown is 005.2129A.00 and dates back to July 2021.
When I run the upgrade utility, OJP9020e_2512A on Windows, it scans all printers on the network, and only finds the printer which is up to date.
Is there another utility that I can use to force the firmware upgrade to the printer that's stuck with the old firmware ?
I even tried the software HP easy start, but same issue.

@pph1p, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding upgrading firmware!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Ensure Network Stability: Make sure that the printer is properly connected to your network. A stable connection is necessary for successful firmware updates.
Temporary Network Issues: Sometimes, network anomalies can cause issues during firmware updates. Restart your modem/router and printer to refresh the connections.
Manual Firmware Download: If automatic updates fail, you can attempt to manually download the firmware from the HP support website and update it using a USB drive or via HP Web Jetadmin. Make sure you have the correct printer model and SKU number when searching for the firmware on the HP support site.
Web Jetadmin: For large setups or if USB updates are not practical, HP Web Jetadmin can be used to manage and update firmware across multiple devices. Make sure the HP Web Jetadmin version is compatible with your printer.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
